Spiritual activities Neeje is concerned about the full
human development of each individual. Today more than
ever, individuals need to be spiritually uplifted to
discover a richer vision of life that will infuse them
with true peace and joy. In all its undertakings, Neeje
therefore respectfully urges women to actively seek
truth, deepen their faith and live a life consistent
with the values and beliefs they hold. Although Neeje's
programs are open to anyone regardless of creed,
its spiritual activities specifically reflect the teachings
of the Roman Catholic Church. Neeje has entrusted these
activities to the Prelature of Opus
Dei, www.opusdei.ca Recollections The ever-accelerating pace of our day can often prevent us from stopping to think about the things we most want to achieve in our lives. Often things get in the way of each other. We become drained and can lose time and energy in less important matters. It becomes ever more necessary to stop and reflect on what really matters most.
Valrideau offers monthly recollections, providing women and students with the opportunity to slow down a little and nourish their spiritual life. They receive the encouragement they need to be a little better every day as well as practical advice on how to apply one's Christian faith to everyday living. Recollections provide greater joy and strength for daily life. For dates and times of the spiritual activities held in Ottawa and Kingston please consult our schedule listed below Valrideau University Residence at 613-789-3510 in Ottawa, valrideau@valrideau.ca Irene Freundorfer at 613-549-7421 in Kingston, irene.freund@gmail.com
Classes
in the faith Classes in the faith are offered in both Ottawa and Kingston. A stimulating and clear exposition of the Christian way of life helps listeners grow in their understanding of the faith according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Based on objective truths, classes in the faith can become food for life and deep nourishment of the soul.
Retreats It is so important to withdraw from our work, to refresh ourselves and find greater strength and deeper meaning in our lives. Daily responsibilities make it difficult to set aside uninterrupted time for deep reflection and prayer. Retreats offer the perfect opportunity to replenish the soul and improve our relationship with God. Three-day retreats are conducted in the Toronto and Montreal areas, for high-school students, university students and women of all ages. For more information contact Valrideau at (613) 789-3510. These retreats are offered by the Prelature of Opus Dei.
