Teens clubs

Teenagers offer an endless supply of adventure, energy and laughter. Too often, they feel caged in by the do's and don'ts of adults. How they dream of being older and more responsible! How refreshing it is when an adult takes the time to really encourage them to aim for something that is achievable, that makes sense and that really helps them mature. Teens clubs support parents in raising their daughters as free, responsible women.

Wonderful memories are created when teenagers can hang out in an uplifting and supportive environment. Whether they are laughing or sharing stories and concerns, they are accepted for who they are. Neeje encourages them to aim for their personal best. This is the primary aim of teen clubs offered by Neeje. This activity takes place at Valrideau University Residence.

Whether activities include baking, crafts, a movie, a hike or community service, every opportunity is used to raise sights higher - to develop a love for learning, an appreciation of truth, goodness and beauty, and a recognition of the tremendous dignity each human being has.

Each gathering includes a brief talk on a character strength. Brief talks on the meaning of sincerity, generosity, perseverance, friendship, etc., which can go a long way in opening horizons for growth. Neeje believes that values are "caught" more than taught. The girls find positive role models in club leaders, who are available for one-on-one mentoring.
